“Even one small light is stronger than the darkness.”

Just as one small candle can make a difference, so each life can also make a difference in this world of trouble and sorrow that surrounds us. You, me, each one of us has a smile, a word, a touch that can make a difference in the load another must bear.

When talking to customers about candles many have said, “Oh, I don’t burn my candles. They’re too pretty.” What a shame! Candles are meant to be burned! The look of the candle itself as well as the warmth of the light and fragrances calms and soothes the body and mind. In a similar way, each of us is at our best and fulfilling our purpose when we let our lives touch others. We aren’t designed to live in isolation. Our purpose is to strengthen, uplift, and join hands with others, thereby enhancing all of our lives.

A popular Christian children’s song goes, “This little light of mine, I’m gonna let it shine!” If you’re drawing breath today (and if you’re reading this we trust that you are!), we hope you will be encouraged to let the light of your life brighten someone else’s.
